We are now looking for an Applications Specialist in hot work steels who wants to contribute to developing our technical offering and strengthening our customer relationships globally.

Your Role

In the role of Applications Specialist, you are technically responsible within the application area and a key link between the customer, the sales organization, and internal functions. Your focus is to translate customer needs and technical issues into clear recommendations and long-term solutions.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Being a technical expert in hot work steels and its application areas, such as forging, die casting, and extrusion.
• Supporting the sales organization and customers in material selection, application questions, and technical solutions.
• Participating in and contributing to technical investigations and providing recommendations based on analysis and experience.
• Participating in customer visits, training, and technical meetings both internally and externally.
• Following and analyzing customer needs, market trends, and technological development.
• Contributing to knowledge building and improvement work based on customer cases and technical investigations.
• Collaborating closely with product management, technical customer service, R&D, quality, and production.

The position involves an international dimension with regular contact and travel to customers and sales companies globally.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a strong technical interest and want to work closely with both customers and internal development functions.

We would like you to have:

• An engineering degree in materials technology, metallurgy, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of materials, heat treatment, and industrial applications.
• Experience in technical problem-solving, analysis, and customer support.
• Ability to translate technical results into clear recommendations.
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English.

Experience from hot work applications or related industries is an advantage.
